Granted, the "you" in the context of my original post was more aimed at the Trust (inclusive of Rodney Walker amongst others) rather than one individual and I accept could have been clearer with that. However, the efforts of that individual (TRB), have never been called into question. It's quite clear that any supporter who is willing to put their hand up to invest the time and effort that he has up to this point should be both supported and applauded. That's never been in doubt. What is in doubt is the need to provide an update that's no different from the previous update or the previous update before it, and that's been a recurring theme for the past X years. Hence the frustration.

Sure people will ask, but the method of response on the part of TRB in its current guise is not fit for purpose. It's ammunition to get shot at. And for the responsibility of any sound-bite to fall at the feet of one individual to speak on behalf of the Trust on this forum, frankly it's unfair.

It's a no win situation. If TRB doesn't post there'll be people on here criticising him for NOT keeping fans updated. If he does post updates saying things in general terms like "progressing but no details yet" then he'll be criticised for doing it when he should have kept quiet. For ****''s sake let him just get on with it and do things in the way he wants (or more likely has to) and let's just support him and the rest of the team.

He's certainly got my full support because without him and the others we woudn't even be in a position where any progress was possible.

The problem between reading something and hearing it first hand can be very misleading and sometimes taken out of context as in this case, I thought your post about trolling was a generalisation against all of us what had spoken out about our misgivings regarding the lack of information and not of Gower as an individual, which rather proves my point, perhaps you could sense some personal issues with him but in all honesty I thought it was to the point but fair and that's why I included him in my reply.


Regarding Carter and Walker, I'm quite sure that were these people available for comment on the subject, that TRB's life would a lot less stressful on here at least, unfortunately there not but TRB is and whether it's by accident or design he has set himself up as the spokesman on here, and rightly or wrongly people see him as the man in the know, he clearly does not have a mandate to come on here and tell us anything other than what he's been told to say hence my descriptive view as being propaganda, as you say it might be better if he only spoke out when there is something to say, less frustrating all round and deny's us antagonists any opportunity to vent our spleen

It does seem rather contrary that TRB feels compelled to give a carefully worded update that basically says nothing, whilst Michael Carter is in the media talking about making an offer on BV and stating that is his preferred option.

Surely Carter is looking at a possible personal business investment that will give him an even better return if Newmarket ever happens. He can't really lose can he?

Yeah exactly, struggling to understand the mindset of people who can't resist the urge to snipe at someone who is just letting us know that the process is still continuing, even if he can't give a full account of it. Surely it's better to have that than nothing at all.

I'm struggling to understand the mindset of people who have the urge to carry on trying to re ignite an argument with posters what have stated their opinion and are happy to accept that everybody does not think alike and do not want to get into a stupid argument as to who is right and who is wrong

If TRB chooses to post details of what he is doing or not, it's his choice. By all means comment on it but don't start an argument about what he didn't post. I'll take that as trolling/stalking/bullying and you can assume a warning.

Equally if someone wants to post that they would like a different option to Newmarket or Belle Vue new or old, let them do it. As long as they are not accusing or unfairly criticising another poster.

Hy guys, I'm fine. I'm just a fan, but somehow got embroiled in all this and I understand all of the points raised. No issue for me. In fairness I only ever give a reply when someone is asking and I don't think it would be fair to leave them hanging, even if all I confirm is ......!
