Think The Stosic story is a bit skewed. The passport thing was a way of trying to keep him, but his quota space was spent on the big lad that came the following year and went home after about 10 games.
Big mistake by the club. Stosic was a great prop and bought into our club. We wanted more and it backfired. Shame.
That's the balance isn't it; the bigger they are and the more muscle they pack on, has a negative impact on the aerobic fitness that results in a 'good engine' - unless it's very carefully managed.
Avenger can probably explain it better than me, but I do know that bulking up in unscientific way can be dangerous, and totally change athletic performance.
