The media summary says he's been sacked because he didn't even turn up to the internal investigation.
There is only so much rope you can give someone.

Someone on facebook has said Lee Smith has signed for Bradford for next year, I presume if they get promoted? hence Brian Smith decided a few weeks ago not to pick him? #rumours..

Doubtful; you wouldn't dismiss someone for not turning up - you'd deal with the original misconduct, and if they chose not to turn up to an interview or a hearing, you would conduct it, and possibly dismiss them, in their absence.

I think the general theme is: players who are with us next year (or retiring) get a game

At the beginning of this week Lee Smith asked not to be selected for this weekends game against Bradford, without knowing the ins and outs of his reasons you could only assume he'd signed for them as there were no other logical conclusion, if he has signed for them then now we know why he did not want to play for us.

Anyone else sick to death of payers kicking us in the teeth when we needed them the most. JD mentions such players in his message to the club and supporters...you know the players that no-one else wanted but given a chance by us !!!!!!!!!
