I think you're right but that is going to give someone a distinct advantage. Whichever game is moved will involve a team with potentially something to play for and put them at a disadvantage when the others know exactly what is required the following day. |

The RFL have form with this sort of thing.
Remember a few seasons back, with ourselves and Bradford fighting for the last play off spot (those were the days !) and the Bradford game was played before ours, which meant that we played Salford (at Leigh) knowing that we were assured of a top 8 spot.
Unlike other sports, we don't have the balls to tell Sky that the integrity of the comp is more important than programme scheduling. |

Integrity of the com , your having a laugh. Its a micky mouse comp played for the sky armchair supporter. Playing sun then again on thurs, fri then thurs, then the tragic playing one club on 3 occasions .

Looking at what Halifax did to Leigh, it's important to remember that we only managed to beat them by 1; Sheffield had a good go against Salford an all - the score-line flattered Salford.
I certainly don't expect either game to be easy, let alone an opportunity to make up a big points difference.

Widnes and Salford are all but guarenteed top 3 now, they need 1 point, or others to claw the gap and points difference. Both have a positive difference, Widnes would need a monumental collapse in scorelines to drop out. Every other side outside top 3 have a negative difference.
4th down is open field. Anyone from the 5 teams could make it mathematically. Wakey have Fax and Sheffield, if they lost them both then both those sides would join them on 4pts.
Its more exciting then SL tbh, the play off structure there means it will be over in 2 weeks, no build up really.
Leigh vs Bradford on saturday will almost be a cup final, Leigh simply have to win or its all over for them. Bradford win the pressure is on Wakey to put some points on, Wakey may have to go to Odsal if they are not careful. Very interesting.'"
My mistake , I meant 6 points. Enough, IMO to secure 5th spot. |
