Very happy with this. Was very jealous when Salford announced his signing last year. Interestingly, me and my Dad were just commenting on the phone that he seems (from the photo taken at BV) to have worked off the weight that he appeared to put on when he played at Salford. The lad looks happier and healthier, welcome to Wakefield Kevin!
Kevin Locke will be brilliant if he can re create his Warriors form. Unfortunately when the Warriors signeed Tomkins Kevin had his nose pushed out. I believe he can make a big difference he has ability and have often see him put his body on the line for the Warriors. I really hope he does well.
Talking to certain person last night and he said Locke trained well yesterday,looking quick and enjoying it.I know it's early days,but you know what they say,form is temporally ,class is for ever.......and it wasn't Jordan that told me
Locke appears to be one of the highest profile import signings for a number of years....who in the past compares in terms of class? Obviously Wally Lewis is on the list but I'm trying to think of previous world class players that have put on the red,white and blue?
As for the above New Zealand article playing for struggling Wakefield Trinity didn't harm the future prospects of Wally Lewis, Ben Westwood, Gareth Ellis et al did it? They've ignored the fact that one of the most successful coaches of the last 30 years both in NRL and SL is the coach at Trinity. This will have influenced Locke's decision as well as playing against Salford his former club who could be relegated instead of Trinity?
