I doubt it because Smith said he would stick with the current squad. I presume it is more the club likes to keep us in the dark despite everyone knowing but not officially.
When you make an offer that any player can leave then that's what will happen even if they may not be one you were thinking of or hoping for. It is sometimes better to refrain from commenting after a coach leaves and let his replacement make the decisions.
We are now entering the important part of the season with three centres (4 if you count Ryan) two wingers and two full backs. That is not a lot of cover which makes the recent decision even more stupid.
I know our rose tinted brigade will not see a problem and will consider it a positive but I am afraid the only good part is that we will help our accounts by saving on salaries. We might end up relegated but we will at least have a slightly bigger bank balance.
