Harsh on Simon IMHO.

Acton late off the ball on McShane was far worse as was the 3rd man in the tackle late on Simon.

Leigh did well hiding the late shot and seemed masters of ripping the ball out in the tackle. Fair play to them. Wish we had a little of that bite and devilish streak. They did what they needed to do to win.

This. Leigh seem to have mastered playing on the edge of legality when it comes to their defence and really know how to rattle teams. Lots of swings around the head late in the tackle and hands on the ball. That extremely late hit on McShane though should have led to a ban.

They had the right attitude and decent fitness levels with 35 year old Wilkes scoring towards the end of the game. Trinity have neither the attitude or fitness. The loss though may have done Trinity a favour with change of coaching/conditioning regime...

Wouldn't worry about that my shame was throwing the arm in every tackle!! What about the spear on briereley saying that glad miller stayed on he's rubbish!! I do agree we are a rough set that play on the edge but we are playing rugby not footy

So why wasn't this late hit picked up by the match review panel a la the Simon offence. Nothing was put on report as far as I can remember.

Think it was Jamie Ackton? Shouldn't have even played the match as he has been charged today for an offence in the Halifax game the week before! Went up for 3 offences the previous week.

They have looked at it, but have decided a on field penalty was fair.

If it's the tackle I'm thinking of then I don't see what was wrong with it.
There was no tucking the arm or rotation of the torso, it wasn't late and it wasn't high.

Not sure where they've dug out a charge from.

On the other hand the late hit from behind on McShane was a chargeable offence yet they've found no issue with it.

Thaler was right there with the Simon tackle and never even spoke to him, just gave a scrum down for a knock on, with regards to the McShane assault from behind, Thaler was going to give him a yellow and on the advice of that chuckle brother clown just gave a penalty, officialdom at it's best
