| And dropping players who are out of form and using those who have been left out twiddling their thumbs.

| The Sammut thing is baffling but it also seems that the much mentioned all for one spirit that has bailed us out in the past seems non-existant right now. I wonder if our super coaches admittance that he has been trying to offload some of their mates has killed the spirit between coach and players stone dead.

| Got a tweet from him on Saturday saying he would love to be out the field with the lads on Sunday. It's a crying shame he has been left out all these weeks. I know one man wouldn't have made a difference but it is symptomatic of this season's decisions by our coach.

| Whether it is the reason he isn't picked i don't know but he is on a graded contract based on appearances i believe, so the more we play him the more he earns. So it could be political reasons from the club and/or coach.

| Given our defensive ineptitude, the last thing we need is an off-the-cuff headcase like Sammut; he'd drag us even further out of whatever shape we're pretending to have.
There's plenty wrong at the moment, but I think the plight of Sammut is a secondary concern - he's an oddly shaped peg that no SL club appears to have a hole for.
