I know, its terrible, all the players out, just think how much worse it could have been if the blatant trip had been penalised and the clear shoulder charge in the face of Washbrook…..

Yes it should have been a penalty to St’s for the challenge on Wilkin, who knows what the outcome would have been, maybe St’s would have taken the two.

But the point is Turner was in an offside position & the V.R should have chalked it off.

There’s no need to go into a diatribe about players missing, injuries & the like, the V.R got it wrong & should be reprimanded.

Whilst we are talking about things not mentioned, what about the St’s play the ball, which was at ninety degrees & the officials just let it go.

I'm not advocating this which would be going the way of football but what if a WTW player had gone over to Washbrook and told him to stay down when he'd got that Wilkin shoulder right under the chin as it looked really bad on the replay which can be seen in the ground? Heard 'off off off!' being shouted.

Think Washbrook being carried off with suspected concussion no doubt would have led at least to a sin bin if not straight red for Wilkin. With all their injuries and a pivot sent off it would have changed the balance of the game massively.

Can't seem to buy into this 'we wuz robbed' mentality about last night.
The ref wasn't that good but we should have still beaten Saints by about 12 points.
If people are happy to lose to a team with Wilkin and Wellens in the halves, plus playing all the second half with one sub, it amazes me.
Using the ref and ropey decisions as an excuse of why we didn't have enough composure or be able to do the basics right to beat Saints should be the real reason that people should be using.
Some on this thread accept that but some still look for excuses.
Last nights result was more frustrating than last Sunday.

Yeh we should have won more easy but there try that was offside and should not have counted is not an excuse its a fact.the try we got disallowed for forward pass was no more forward then 100s off passes that would not have been called forward.2 big points off the game he got wrong wich is a fact not excuse.

If we had been good enough, these points would have become irrelevant.
Good teams find a way of winning and not dwelling on what might have been.

There 6 points that should not have counted and our 4 maybe 6 that should have would have made it 20 or 22-14 would you not have been happy with that score? Like you say we should have won anyway but doesn't take away the fact we should have won if the refs decisions were correct.so that's where we were robbed comes from

I don't think people are looking for excuses as to why we lost. I think all accept there was a lack of composure at crucial times but likewise there was also some terrible refereeing which contributed massively towards the end result.

This was against the top side in SL who are paying up to their salary cap by a side that is no where near the salary cap. One that also got thrashed last week so it's a great step in the right direction with something to work on.

Lets not forget that before these incidents happened, we were 12-6 up with no need to chase the game, just build pressure and work their one substitute.
Think Saints would have done that in the same situation.

And at 12-6 we scored a perfectly good try that got disallowed then they went up other end and scored so with correct decision we would have pulled away more and put more pressure on.at end off day not many teams will win sts with them wrong decisions going against them.

So did Saints when they were 6-0 up... Or is that conveniently forgotten? If Saints had of been awarded that try, Wakefields heads may of dropped after last week and it may of been another 40 point drubbing. Ifs buts and maybes.

The ref is never the reason a team loses.
