Remember the game very well.
First time in the stand as a kid and the fight broke out from a scrum straight in front of us.
Remember Nigel Bell running around the scrum to collar whoever it was had upset him.
At one point Mal Meninga was patrolling the sidelines trying to make sure his team didn't get beaten (UP!!).
Will never forget the cold, wet evening - great game. A great Wakefield team.

We got the game because the season before the Kiwis toured and played at Bradford who played a very weakened side so were told they would not get a game against the Aussies. I think Bradford finished a place higher in the table than us but we were given the fixture. I think i`m right but the grey cells are not what they were

You are right. Our idiot coach at Northen at the time put out a weakened team versus the 89 Kiwis and we had our game against the Roos taken away.
