KH does not seem like someone to be messed about with on contract negotiations.

For all we know it could be a lower cost deal over 3 years rather than a more expensive one for 1 year.
I personally don't like him as a person (and I only know him through 3rd hand stories and seeing him play) but I defer on rugby knowledge to Webster and contract negotiations to Kath.

Have to b honest don't know which cas game sum people were watching.But from wot I saw they kicked at him all first half he did very well .so they started kicking at sum one else.I would ac gave him 2 not 3 years.but iam not running the club

Unlike others I don't mind Owen. I think finding a home for 3 years rather than being a loan player will do a guy like him good. Surprisingly he's still only 24 and could have his best years in front of him.

Personally wouldn't have gone for 3 years , more like 2. But hey I don't know what his contact is or how the negotiating went down. Under MC I just can't see any over the top contracts being handed out.

Strange we reward a player that had given so little apart from 2 games he was here one against Cas and other against Widens rest of the time he didn't try and got a telling off on several occassions by Tim Smith for not bothering to run. We should have just loaned a better winger and saves cash. I will not here the club moaning about money when we waste it like that for 3 years. 3 years on the face of it seems a very good deal for the player. Wakey refer to the capture of Owen as a utility back, could be they have plans with regards to his position.

Without a recognised specialist fullback other than young Jowitt any one of Hall, Riley, Owen and Sammut could end up playing at 1.

Owens 3 year deal could be a little bit more than one of Vince Mellors 3!

He's going to be wearing a Trinity shirt so good luck to him. The club has a tendency to bring the best out of players to help re-launch their careers. From what I've seen in games he's played he's got some ability so I hope he gets some form and scores 15/20 tries next season.
