I understand what you're saying but doing something is better than nothing as it may escalate in terms of stuff getting nicked and damaged.
It's also free which is essential for a struggling club that can't afford improvements in perimeter security and a decent internal CCTV system.
The club may be able to get a security survey by the local crime prevention by design advisor if they ask for one.
