Good old fashioned derby game for me , Tigers on top in first half but a good fight back from Wakey made it a close game at the end.

A bit disappointed with first half, 2nd half much better and showed what we can do.

Some poor kicking and the wrong option from tim Smith a few times today cost us. The last try was a mile forward but If we had taken the better options we would have won. Lyne ran like a forward today so much when he broke at the end he was too knackered to get going hopefully next year he wont be in that position to be knackered.

Can't start games like that and expect to win i'm afraid. The spirit shown was good from 35 mins onwards to get back into the game but that opening half an hour or so was just not good enough sadly.

I thought Wakefield were fantastic in the 2nd half, by far the best team I've seen down the lane all season. Looks like Webster could do a Powell with you guys next season.

But the facts were we could have won, if tim smith had passed the ball out at the end with a overlap instead of back inside, then there was Reece Lynne getting the ball knocked out of his grasp and the ref giving the scrum to cas..the ridiculous thing about the opening 30 mins for me was trying to dribble a kick through in our own half , instead of hoofing the ball downfield , not once but twice!!! Play percentages and try and play the game in the opposition half , not miracle plays when the game is still in the balance..

They've suddenly discovered that Childs is a bit unpredictable. Wait for play off Rugby and see how predictable Silverwood and Bentham are when Cas are facing Leeds or Wigan!

We shot ourselves in the foot with the first 30 minutes and to be honest we were lucky still to be in the game at HT. That said, we were much improved in the second half and had an awful lot of possession in Cas' 20m and had enough ball to win the game.

Enjoyed the game, cracking atmosphere in the second half and just fell short but showed character to get back into it from 22-0 down.

I wasn't surprised to hear Cas streak ahead in the first half; they've been fantastic this season and have got threat all over the park. I was surprised however to hear us come back so well in the second half - Webster certainly knows what to say to the players at half time and seems capable of seeing what's working and what's not, and getting the players to execute accordingly. Bodes well for next year.
