| Quote Towns88="Towns88"How would a meaningless 9s tournament attract more fans then the current magic weekend?'"
I have been 3 times in a row to the magic weekend, I didn't go this year because I didn't want to sit through every game in the 2 days.
I'd definitely go to a 9s tournament though so that's already +4 fans as my mates would also come

I'm with you on this, costs me about £300 for the magic weekend, I personally wouldn't go to BV to watch a nines tournament, totally pointless.

| Scrap the tragic week end . With promotion and relegation it will becomes a lottery. If it must be kept then look at a totally new format.

It's a long weekend for me. I love the concept and think it is something good which we do.
Not sure why people knock it so much. Most fans just turn up for their team's match then disappear, just like an away match. Shame really since for me the whole idea is about loving the rugby and seeing teams other than your own playing. A pie and a pint don't go amiss either.

I think it's a decent concept which could work better. I like the idea idea of derbies and competitive games, I'm just not sure of the fairness of the RFL deciding the fixtures. I'd also like to see it played at a smaller stadium that would be full. There's nothing worse than rows of empty seats at what should be a showpiece event.

| Actually, I prefer Etihad for exactly the same reason.
I like to be able to move around and not have a dsignated seat. 3-4 games in a tight stadium is tough going and City of Manchester ground has som egreat facilities and space both inside and out.

| It's never been my cup of tea, too many mis-matches and arbitrary pairings. Now if it was the semis (or maybe even the quarters) of the challenge cup.........

| Where could hock go? Hull FC? I don't think hed have a line of clubs wanting him as his disciplinary record is shocking. We wont pay a fee and if we could we wouldent be able to take on his wages most likely.
