I had a text from Max's dad this morning and he asked me to post a massive thank you to all the Trin fans who shouted and clapped support for Max after he'd spilt the ball in the 1st HF.I know how much it meant to his dad,Ian,as I felt just as proud and grateful when Jordan made his debut.Once again a big thank you on behalf of the Jowitt clan.

Could not be at the game but that's the way to do it when a young player has a slip rather than give him a load of stick encourage him to forget the slip and carry on.

He deserved plenty of support last night. Made a couple of errors but did a hell of a lot right. An impressive debut in my eyes. Long May he continue.

1st time I've ever seen him play and he looks a real threat in attack, yes he made a few errors but that to be expected at such a young age and in such a tough game. I really hope he continues at fb the rest of the season and the club work on his starting position when the opposition have the ball as it can't be easy knowing where to stand but at times looked far too deep imo.

It'll only take 1 mistake against Salford (if he plays) and the usual suspects will be on here slating him and calling for Mathers / Sammut / Owen (etc) to be at full back.
Keep up the good work Max, take your chance, we need young players like you at the club.
