I think that because we will be running with a small (in numbers) squad, people like Washy are good players to have in the squad. He's a big minute player who gets through a lot defensively, he's not the best at attacking, but that's not his job. Good re-signing

Very pleased about this. Still can't quite see why he gets the stick he does. Teams need tacklers, and no one does more for us. One year is perfect - keeps everyone hungry!

One year is great. I like him and it gives Annakin a year before its all him.....or not.

Thought he would have been on his way. He's a workhorse yes but I assumed Ashurst was going to be his replacement in that department.

Sad thing is Annakin probably won't be here the season after next.

Quite happy, I think a 1 year deal makes sense for everyone.

Also heard our squad will be reduced in size and therefore you need players who are resilient, Washbrook certainly is.

Not a great attack player but more than makes up for that with his tackle count and does the full 80 also not one who picks injurys up so spends the vast amount of the season playing.

Agree with all you've said, although some of the usual suspects' aren't too happy.

Maybe help Craig Hall settle into the team too?
