| Terrible decision to let him go. We are a much more structured side with Richie at the back. The wheels always seem to come off when he isn't playing.
Maybe Hall will get the #1 next year but I aren't sure how good his organizing skills are.
Good luck Richie

| This may come back to haunt me, but Craig Hall for me would be an improvement on RM.

| I hope we aren't relying on Sammutt because I thought he had a mare at fullback last week, a natural in the halves but never a fullback.

| Don't think anyone has mentioned this but Mathers wage has been subsidised by our friends in Cas for the last two years as far as I recall. I imagine with all that's gone on in recent years that without that subsidy his wage will probably be way out of proportion with what he is actually worth in the current wage structure - no matter whether you rate him or not. Money way better spent elsewhere and far less likely to upset the players applecart. Can't blame Mathers for not taking a substantial cut if London can make up the difference.

| I wish Mathers all the best. It's nice he wanted to stay rather than couldn't get out of the place quick enough. It's sad for him that he couldn't stay. It's tough having lowest budget in the league and also being a coach in general. With all the best will in the world you can make poor choices or make good ones that don't end up going in your favour. Mathers has a family, wtw have a budget and you have to fashion a squad within the limits. I'm glad tough choices are being made rather than stretching it and it going financially belly up. If I had the budget Webster had I would make different choices to him as would Michael. Just like when you pick a fantasy side from the paper. But it's Websters job to make these tough decisions. He's not done too bad so far.
I will miss Mathers positivity, team spirit, quick scoots amongst other things. Maybe not his one on one tackling or occasional brain bottom burps.
I may be wrong but there will be Hall, Sammutt, Jowitt, Owen who can play full back. My preference being Hall. Looking forward to seeing him in action.
All the best Richie, you've enhanced the team and certainly been popular with your team mates. A new chapter for you and your family! Good Luck..

| Hall is a good player but he is just as prone to a cock up as Mathers if not more so. In his last game for Hull KR there he was directly responsible for two opposition tries due to his handling errors. If we go with him there it would be a big risk.
