No player is a jack of all trades (great tackler, position player, side stepper, speedster etc). Each player has strengths and weaknesses, for me Ryan has a lot more of the former.
We need people strong in defence for both the backs and forwards so Ryan fits well for both. Also with the numerous tries he's scored this year I am happy with his attacking style.
I've grown to like him at centre this year. I'd be happy with this and let an out and out forward stay in the pack. At least this way we've more chance of having Ryan on the pitch for the full 80 as well
