Quote mole rat="mole rat"On Sunday i went to the front gate as I have done for years to enter through the gate as I always take one of my kids (in there buggy) , I hand over my ticket and enter with no problem. But this week I was stopped by a arrogant steward and was asked if he could check my babies (11 month) changing bag, he took out her baby juice, banana, and small pack of snack crisps and put them on the floor and said you can't take them in!!! , I stated you can't take them off her she needs her juice and food as it was hot and she's only just started weaning he replied watch me. I told him it was disgusting and he just laughed.
I picked up the drink etc and then went down to the gates by the cats bar and explained what had happened to a young lady on the gate and she ushered us straight in.
Surely this is wrong what he was doing , taking juice and food off a 11 month baby???
I haven't had chance to ring the club about it but I will be.'"
I support the club and the tremendous work they have done. However as I said previously this situation needs taking care of. I'm well aware there seems to be a lot of fans who moan and are generally negative about anything. However in this case there are many justified reasons to constructively send your complaints to the club. Policies & guidance are in place but if members of the security team are being overtly aggressive, confrontational & lacking common sense then the club need to know. I'm sure if you contact them in a sensible way explaining your concerns they will look into it!
I was contacted by another long term fan who also seems to have had a very negative experience at the hands of the stewards. The club put trust in the security team to be fair but firm. It is a tough job but we cannot let this get out of control and upset good fans by poor judgement by the stewards.
I'm sure the club would be upset too if people's poor treatment proves to be true. They pay good money for security & but trust in their work ethic.
