They can try and take my snap if they want, good luck to them.

| Stewards should be like referees, anonymous and incidental until they're actually needed, too many of our stewards swagger about like they own the place and seem to view spectators as an annoying infestation of their workplace.

| I was outside the main turnstiles for 15 minutes on Friday and witnessed these jobsworths thoroughly enjoying taking pop, sweets and water off kids, adults and pensioners. I've witnessed this at the entrance to the Western Terrace on Test Match day, but I never thought I'd see the day at Belle Vue. The attitude of the security forces sickened me, but presumably they were only following orders. It's a good job they weren't ordered to confiscate brollies as dangerous weapons.
On the positive side I managed to sneak a bottle of lucozade in my trouser pocket. They did look, but presumably they thought I was just unreasonably excited at the prospect of James Webster's first game in charge....
The lads on the turnstiles themselves have always said 'enjoy the game' this season as they have taken my ticket. At first I thought this was a really nice public relations gesture, it was only more recently that I thought they might actually be subtly trying to take the Michael.
I'm here all week...

| I bought a drink from the shop just a bit further down on Doncaster Road, got told I couldn't take it in so I just downed it. Never ever had this problem before but I guess the club is skint.

| Perhaps someone from the club can confirm if this is the case now.

| To confiscate drinks etc before you enter the ground is out of order.
What is even more out of order, is that when you have got into the ground, the bar in the old hospitality boxes only had the lager pumps working.
These stopped working for a while, so it was down to bitter out of cans.
It's little things like these that make the day enjoyable or a pain.

| The club really needs to make a statement. We need to know the new rules. No good blaming stewards they are under instruction.

| This is the point I was making on the other thread, the club is paying lip service to the fans - it may not be deliberate but this simply isn't how you run things at a club like ours - and I can assure the BOD it won't make you any more money but will create a sack full of resentment - trust the members of this forum it doesn't take much to give the Wakefield public an excuse not to turn up - this is perfect fodder for that.
I know we have our fair share of moaners but truth is this club runs on the good will of the fans - FACT. We as a club simply can't afford to isolate people especially for a few extra shekels. I implore the club to start listening to the many sensible and hard working fans who have offered the club so much through the years. Yes you will meet some characters, some nasty ones as it happens but over all the club is better off with the fans inclusive and I don't feel they are. I feel SWAG which I am no longer active in, The Supporters Trust etc are under used or even ignored. I may be wrong but from what I here the door is not always open as much as it should be. Yes I know there are things that are not open to fans I'm a realist but WTRLC is not a business it's a belief, if it were just a business it would have died 30 years ago.
We are in this together, like it or not - no room for egos on either side - we need to be together because if we don't look after ourselves no one else will that's for certain.

| Very petty and short sighted if this is the case.
The sight of hi viz clad baboons stealing pop and biscuits from children at the gate is hardly going to draw in the fans, particularly families.
For example this Sunday pontefract races are running a family day just a few miles from belle vue.
This is an entertainment business and supporters are customers, generally very loyal customers at that. The fans should not be taken for granted in the way that they are.
There are other options available to each and every one of us.

| Bought a pie from the main food place and then it started to rain heavy so a few of us stayed there under cover. A few jobsworths came up saying you will have to move as people may want to buy food. At this point it was torrential rain and I said ain't going nowhere until someone wants food or it stops. Don't know where they get these numpties from.
