| Agreed, at least Agar did the right think and stepped down. I dont think he would have been sacked for a good while yet.
Hopefully we will see a response from the players post London game but there is still a worry that Webster like Agar is well into the club and not sure if there will be new ideas ? Hopefully that is the case and we can post 4 wins before the end of the season.
Mick Carter has said it would have been costly to bring in a new coach, new staff, new physio and conditioner etc and I see his point as long as Webster can get a responce.
I do think though that at the end of the season we should be looking at a new coach regardless of how it ends (firm believer of coachers/assistants and 3 year cycles).
I think we should be looking to bring in Noble 2015!! At least wel beat Salford twice a season

| If he ruffles a few feathers, drops those not performing instead of favouritism to a select few and starts getting performances AND results he'll get my vote. I say we give him a chance, let him pick his own team and see how we do. What used to get my goat was Agar putting players back in after injury messing with a settled side and the excuses became tedious after we got tonked. I'm looking forward to seeing his first team line up, new man, new ideas, there will be some, surely?

| The most interesting thing for me will be to see who Webster pick in the halves.

If he had wanted to stay, he would still be here - of that i am convinced.
I didn't quite get the context of the MC tweet about listening to fans and expecting 17k supporters for the london game, Agar left because HE wanted to and has something lined up.
Not that i'm complaining of course, i just wished if he had been talking about it to the BOD for a good few weeks (about going), he would have gone before the Bulls game.'"
Not sure as to wether he jumped or not. If MC is a friendly with RA as he suggests then he might have called him in and said "mate weve got to make a change" it would sure make his quest for another role in the game easier if he left his last post "of his own choosing" rather than being sacked, so there is a strong possibility of jumped before pushed. Don't know - only those in the know will know.

| Lol. So he's been absolutely crucifide on here and Facebook and Twitter for months now.
But when he resigns, "it's nothing to do with us gov" "We didn't do anything wrong"
I'm pretty sure the pressure from supporters had an impact on his decision. Whether he reads them, I'm certain the spirit of the message works it's way back. If not to him then to MC and KH. It's bound to add to the pressure.
I reckon he did the right thing for himself. He did a decent enough job but it was going own hill rather than up and I'm sure that makes life stressful on top of the usual stress of the job.
Many others would have seen out the contract and made us pay to remove him. He gets credit for that from me.
Whether he lost the team or not, or didn't get the support he needs, he has been man enough to accept the position he is in and walk away.
I wish him the best for the future.

You would hope he could turn to his 'senior' players but that might be the problem.

I don't think he did a "decent enough job" - I thought he did a terrible job with a talented group of players

I agree with most of your post, apart from the last part (about Noble)
Can you imagine the furore on here if the club had spent a fortune and still had the same impact as a slow puncture.
Salford spent big, primarily on Nobles say so and the team that he assembled looks comfortably like the most overpriced squad in SL history.
Sorry, although Noble has without doubt been a superb coach in his time, it would appear that he is beyond his sell by date.
Having said that, I've no idea who we should go for.
Rowley, at Leigh, is doing a superb job but, he's just signed a 3 year deal, maybe Karl Harrison but, please let us keep away from the other Agar type coaches, who talk great but don't appear to have the man management skills to get the best out of a group of players.
