| Quote senoj="senoj"Wonder if the RFL will change anything with Hull City getting to Wembley to be played the same day as the Hull Derby at Magic Weekend. Suspect they won't but if they don't attendance may be well down.'"
Just tough I'm afraid. Not for the RFL to change things on the whim of some Hull fans being glory hunters (proper fans excluded, of course.)
Made me laugh when this debate came up for us to change a fixture when Barnsley got to Wembley. Why should everyone else be inconvenienced?

| Whether the RFL can or will change anything is irrelevant but, there is no doubt that Hull City getting to Wembley will impact heavily on both Rovers and FC fans attending the Magic Weekend.
On the basis that the FA Cup Final aint going to move and that The Magic Weekend wont be moved, the "Fans" of both Hull clubs have to make a choice.
IF The RFL tried to change the fixtures around, they would upset as many fans as they pleased, so everyone just carry on and enjoy their sport !

| If they move the Hull derby for the Cup Final, the RFL are devaluing our sport.

| Bet they may have done if Wigan had beaten Arsenal!
Strange to have M/W on cup final weekend, as there is always the chance of a football team from the rugby heartlands getting to Wembley thus reducing M/W attendance figures.

That maybe true but what image does it give of our sport when a massive stadium has around 2,000 fans or less from the their 2 RL clubs watching their BIG derby match? It will be hard to sell that concept to the Sky armchair supporters who are channel hopping.

I understand your opinion however in this situation I feel it beneficial to the MM weekend if the fixture is moved. The RFL have to up their game in regards marketing etc in general and get us into the media more. Id like to see the exposure RU gets. This football match is one of the biggest on the footballing calendar!! If the RFL was moving it for a general HULL FC match id agree but the FA Cup Final is different. As someone has suggested maybe the wisest option would have been to have it on a different weekend to the FA Cup Final in the first place..
In this situation if you are a Hull or Hull KR fan and from a sporting family and Hull FC get to Wembley, id be going to Wembley. How many times will Hull FC get to the FA Cup Final? I like MM Weekend, the banter and RL fest but it is just another round in theory.
Now if it is FA Cup Final over Challenge Cup Final, then that is a different matter completely!!

| Would the RU move their games on a whim? I doubt it.

I agree with what you are saying but, with tickets already sold for the weekend and both days separately, there is further risk to supporter numbers by moving the fixture from Saturday to Sunday.
The problem isn't Hull City making the final, it's staging a "major" RL event on the same day as the FA Cup Final.
Not exactly, well thought out

Not being a Footballist I had no idea the MW was arranged for the same weekend as the FA Cup final until Hull City got there and issues arose of the clash of fixtures. Despite this I find it staggering that the RFL would have even arranged the MW on the same weekend as the FA Cup final in the first place, I presume they knew about it?

| Why not. One of the weekends of rugby was always going to be on that day.
It just so happens this one is in the same stadium
