Taking players from clubs in admin isn't something I approve of, but I find it a lot more palatable than watching Wakefield play a team which is low in quality but high in moral standards in SL2. Needs must.

Add up the money we got for Smith, Poore, Cockayne and Amor, then add it to the 4 or 5 months wages we have saved by not having to pay them, then add 300k Sky money, you will end up with a fairly decent wedge.

I agree re the sales, but at that time it was to cover a shortfall. So that money must have gone to plug the gap along with deduction in wage bill
