This squad looks better than last year and given the lack of coherent off-season and the fact that our pivots are strangers; I'm prepared to give it a few more games to see what they can actually do.
As for alternatives - Morrison is unproven as a coach; Kear is a dinosaur; Cullen has a proven track record of failure and even the much vaunted Peter Gentle, who we were fighting over last season and was going to change the face of British RL, was an abject failure in SL.
Meanwhile - Andy Kelly has just been appointed as Head of Youth development at Shudds (something of an oxymoron in the past!) - maybe he'll make a return to SL coaching one day?
In the meantime - I'm happy to see what Agar does with this squad; personally, I think he'll keep us up.'"
Don't get your Kear comments, he's no dinosaur and frankly still has more coaching ability in his left toe than most SL coaches. John Kears simply had enough and who can blame him.
As for the rest of your comments fair enough. However I used the word gut feeling, and my gut feeling says disaster this season if we don't act soon - and by that I don't mean it has to be Agars head, though I fail to see any other way.
To me this feels just like 2006 and I don't think the club could survive another one of those.
