| Well based on the score predictions that took place on our bus on the way to the game (only 2 out of 56 fans predicted a Trinity win !), that was an excellent effort.
Yes, we should have finished off a couple of chances in the 1st half but 14 - 0 was an excellent effort 2nd half and tbf most of the team had nothing left in the tank at the end, which was the result of a possession starved first 40.
Tautai and Ali were immense in the second 40, with McShane and Godinet looking pretty good too.
We could have won but, that was an excellent 2nd 40 and it bodes well for the season.
Well played boys

| Quote MOPSEY LIVES ON="MOPSEY LIVES ON"travelled back with the lad and felt gutted not to get something from the game today. it was all salford to start with but when we got it we looked dangerous. we should of put at least 2 of our chances away first half and i felt when we didnt that wed get the sucker punch and it proved to be. even at half time i thought 18 nil and they wernt that much better than us but they took their chances we didnt. second half just toal domination how the hell we didnt win is beyond me chance after chance and all the field position. mcshane was outstanding today and he needs some support on either side. i suppose the cricket saying of catches win matches applies today.'"
Sums it up for me today.

| I thought there was a lot of positives to take from the game. We could quite easily have fallen away at 18-0 down but absolutely dominated a very strong Salford side in the second half and should have won. McShane & Godinet looked awesome and Tautai and Ali were a real handful in the second half.
I spoke to a fair few of the players after the game and they were gutted. Ali said he got the ball down when ref called him held up and Ryan is an absolute giant. Loads of positives and I can't wait for Thursday.

| Difference today was the first half, we made too many silly errors and all the 50-50 calls seemed to go Salford's way. But even then in the first half i thought we looked more threatening than them with the little ball we had.
If i was a Salford fan i can't say i'd be too encouraged on that display, we pretty much took them apart in the second half when we were allowed some ball especially down their right side. Another one of them 'should have been' games for us today.

| I'm disappointed, because we should have won that game; we were absolutely caned by Child in the first half and that, coupled with bombing a couple of certain scores, let Salford get 18 points ahead.
We smartened ourselves up in the second half and but for another couple of daft mistakes, could have won the game relatively comfortably.
A bit more composure, Sammut in the mix and a change on the wings, and we're dead set to shock a few.

| Walshaw played well would start him in centres and Matt Ryan should be starting for me also with Ali coming off the bench for 15 - 20 minute spells (he also played very well). I also thought Washbrook played great aswell especially after his average performances last year.
Anderson was solid and took the ball in well and Godinet was class especially in the second half something we have needed for a long time can throw a great pass and attack the line I think if him and Sammut can play around each other we won't be saying we lacked creativity. Tautai was impressive didn't knock on, quick play of the balls and some great offloads. McShane was also very impressive and has linked with Godinet very well.
If we play like we did in the second half a win against the bulls is on the cards!

| A big game changer came in the first half, when it looked to me that Chase deliberately tripped Foxy, if we had scored then I think we would have gone on to win the game & if Childs or the touch judge had a pair he could have got sent off as it looked intentional ( I wonder if he`ll get cited for dangerous play )
Big raps to the team though on the defensive stints they did in the first half especially. We had to defend 5 continuous sets & although they finally scored you could see the teamwork coming through. Maybe with a bit more patience in some of our plays we would have unlocked there defence as they didnt seem up for the fight. Looking forward to Thursday and hopefully Sammuts debut (why was`nt he playing today) and hopefully seeing more of Walshaw who had a good game today with teaming up with Matt Ryan.
