Cas Academy Yr8 have just eased into the Semis of the schools Yorkshire cup with a 42-0 over Manor Croft ( Kirklees ) on a very muddy field.

For those who are interested in this kind of stuff - Spartans folded this week; don't want to go into all the details, but there's no scandal or juicy goss - just a sensible decision in the best interests of the junior players.

How come that the final is being played and no preliminary rounds being played with Crigg Eastmoor & Upton
Crigg & Eastmoor U16's have a friendly between each other this weekend

no other side wanted to enter, its been very poor at this age level through the years not enough quality to put up a game so they don't enter

Maybe if the talent was spread around the district rather than lured to certain teams, then there might be teams more evenly matched to put up a decent game

when my lad moved to Stanley back in the u10s it wasn't for success was more for stupid fall out at Eastmoor, since then he has had his nose shoved out due to not being more assertive which lead to a drop in confidence and other players looking the better, this season he moved to Normy and has started to believe in him again and has regained some of his old traits that used to show and now the barm pot injuries himself

For the record I wasn't aiming that comment at you, as I have no idea who you are in the real world, but I do know from personal experience that at U12's, Stanley somehow were able to sign 4 players from a team I was helping coach and a number of others from the district, since then that team has be pretty much unbeatable in YJARL and for a better ref in a different city they would be BARLA national champions, a couple of the lads that left our team have been very much at the forefront of that success.
Hope you haven't taken offense at my comments as it was not my intention to seem personal, my chip is more to do with the club and the governing body as apparently there are rules in place to prevent the assembly of a super team, however this is not evident for this case and a couple more recent cases
