Sorry, but i disagree on the Hetherington point of view. Without them we would be in deeper than we are now and we would certainly not have recruited as well as we have done.

Glad of the smoking ban. Too many times last year stood behind someone getting covered in smoke.

Dont see the big deal about the no smoking, you're only in Belle Vue the best part of two hours. Not like you're going a full day.

To a smoker, i would imagine the 2 hours at Belle Vue is up there in the top 3 moments in which they need to smoke. It is for me and i dont smoke!!
I stand with a few that do and its never bothered me. Sure they are going to be really pleased that these changes have come in after buying there season tickets though.

Wouldnt be that difficult to assign a designated area in such an open stadium as ours surely?????

Exactly. Its the 3rd change to be made since I bought my season ticket last August.

Glad to see some clarity about smoking and I hope it's properly enforced; smoking in a crowd is a disgusting thing to do and it shouldn't need a ban to stop people from doing it. Nip out at half time - self-inflicted problem solved.

How so? If you've got a ticket, I don't see how you can be stopped from going out of the nearest exit for a quick drag then coming back in - surely smokers aren't going to be kettled in the stadium for the afternoon?!

Most non smoking stadiums don't allow you to.
The only Stadium that used to allow it was the Twickenham stoop as far as I am aware.

It surprises me but as a non smoker I'm happier no one near me will be smoking. In a tight packed crowd it is not nice at all.

Saying that, I'd have been ok with a smoking area, but considering how much hassle the segregation caused last time it might not be a go-er.

Although it makes me think that we are now saying we are ok with Cas fans standing among us but not smokers. Everything has it's place I guess

The thing about also banning e-cigs doesn't really make much sense seen as there is very little/no risk of second hand smoke, unlike normal cigarettes. Which doesn't make it a health and safety issue surely?? If it's to stop people with real cigs blending in with them, well most e-cigs are very easily distinguished from real ones if not by looks but by smell.

Last few seasons i've seen stewards walk by people who are blatantly smoking and not said a word, so no wonder people take no notice of the signs/policies
