Aussie accent or not i haven't seen anything outstanding from Goulding yet to warrant a place in front of Siejka if he signs. I'm all for home grown players in front of imports only if they are better players.

Pretty mixed reaction on Aussie forums about seijak, some at Penrith rate him better than Walsh who's off to saints and having seen Walsh on TV I rate,then some say he's not as good as godinet, and his tackling leaves a lot to be desired,looks like one of them youl have to wait and make your own decision but I wouldn't think its a dead cert he's better than owt we've let go or lost ,that's if we do sign him

No KK not seen him play, its a fair point but ive seen goulding play and im not bowled over yet.

I suppose you're not going to see much in a 20 year old half with a limited number of SL games, certainly not one at Trinity.

I guess I'm just disappointed that Trinity have chosen to take the first opportunity to take advantage of the apparent increase in the non-fed limits, particularly as one the reasons Agar was chosen as coach was because of his record of bringing through youngsters into the first team (which was a dubious claim to make in the first place).

Goulding is willing to prove his worth to the club by playing for nothing, in the hope of getting a contract.

He could have just sat at home waiting for a championship team to pick him up, or let his agent play silly buggers with a stupid contract demand.
He may not be the finished article but their are not many young British stand offs about, maybe it's that he is in a Wake side that always seems to be pushing uphill all the time that makes him look average.
Siejka sounds like a good player but got homesick in NZ, we need players all pulling in the same direction, with some passion.

Agree, in the limited games I saw him play last year he did ok. His kicking game alone was better than any other player at the club. He's a young lad who needs games to improve. Hopefully he gets the chance. I imagine he'll be the back up for when Sykes gets injured or Godinet needs a rest. That is unless Washbrook is switched to the halves again.

Is there any record of RA bringing through youngsters, maybe i'm wrong but i don't see that and lets remember who came out with that line.

Would like to see Goulding given a chance but have not seen enough of him yet, if as someone else said he's training and playing in an attempt to earn himself a contract then good luck to him.

Think agars record of not bringing youth through was one of the reasons most hull fans didn't like him, when he left the likes of crooks, line ham and shoul got their chance admitted because of injuries to star players,but Mr agar as here seems reluctant to take a chance on bringing through young untried players

They would probably get slagged off on here as usual any way,it's a no win situation for RA,all ready been mentioned for adding young ones to the squad on here,adding overseas players.good job he dos'nt take it on board he'd end up as daft as us.
