Quite understand that and have no problems with this ideal of how to run a club in difficult times but my question is who makes a players salary, how does and agent have powers over a player that makes two grand the difference between signing or not.
How a players value determines his salary will be by the interest of market just like any other commodity this where we are in a conundrum, is it worth taking a risk by drawing up contracts that allows a larger bonus say when we reach a top eight place at the end of the season.
The big question is where the hell has all the support gone from the last season ticket holders

The thing that determines his value is how much we can afford.

That's his value to us - and sometimes you need someone else to put a value on you - as a check if you like. If someone else values you more, then you have a choice - just as happened here.

A little sadness, but no drama.

Lets not forget if we had offered Langley his extra £2K his parasite would have gone back to the other club and informed them of this and tried to get them to up their offer.

The reason why many clubs are struggling is because too many average players are being paid far more than their true worth.
