No he is no longer the owner or at least wont be as he has agreed to sell his shares to mc.

Can't see it being in his interests to try and force player sales to pay him back as would not raise full amount and would potentially send the club under shattering the illusion that he has the club interests at heart

I have had a few of mine; like why we always find ourselves with Commitees-boards-owners in succession, who are incapabale of simple mathematics and simple, open, honest communication with me and all the other supporters? I do not expect the Ridsdale "live the dream" idiocy. I expect to be told, this is what we can afford, these are the prices, this is what you get if this is what you pay. Not to be held to ransom to buy a season ticket to prevent a fire sale, every time the next schmuck that wants to flatter his fat ego by buying into a sports club, finds it has gone tits up and leaves it to the next lot to try and clean up the mess. How many times is this now???!! I live at distance. I shall be there for half the home games. I will buy a bit of merchandise and stay in 1873 and thats it; sorry if that's apathetic but I'm pretty bloody sick of the a holes that keep turfing up at WTRLFC..MY RANT OVER!!

That sums it up for me perfectly - and is the reason I will NOT be renewing my season tickets or buying shirts, etc. I've put my money in (including tickets, shares, sponsorship) too many times in the past, and EVERY TIME seen it wasted by successive owners who have repeatedly brought us to the brink. I've reached my limit. I understand that the current boss was a director under Glover, and so should have seen what was going on (indeed, he had a legal responsibility to do so). Now, once again, it's my fault as a spectator for not buying enough season tickets, mugs, pens, car stickers.....
Perhaps he really is better than the last few owners, but I have seen nothing yet that demonstrates he is any different.

Of course it’s the supporter’s fault that collectively we don’t buy enough full price season tickets to make the club sustainable. Rich owners are few and far between, they are a bonus not a right. If we had 10K (or even 5K) adult season ticket holders we wouldn’t be holding out for a benefactor and player’s sales wouldn’t be a topic for discussion. Things are in danger of becoming a self fulfilling prophecy if people don’t buy a season ticket because of likely player sales.

If you've had enough then that's your call and you’re entitled to it, but you can’t then complain when Kirmond et al are sold and the likes of Welch (no offence to him) are recruited.
