The current academy system (get to 20 and if you're not in 1st team, sorry but goodbye) means most of the top clubs have had to let decent young players go. Surely Wakey's plan should be to pick these lads up and bring them into the squad at half the cost of established players? It's no more risky than trying to get through a full season with a half sized squad of experienced players.

We need a couple of Kris Radlinski signings, players who will play for absolutely nothing!

We have now lost Tuson ,Moriano , Wood , Wilkes , Smith , Amor, Cowling .So surely that as covered the £200 000 cap decrease , isn’t about time we were signing some squad members , there is nothing coming out on any retained or resigned players , before long there will be nowt left to recruit .  

We've resigned nearly all the others.
Wildie, Kay and Goulding are the question marks.

whats the rush ...we rushed into silly signings before,,,guys who we are now stuck with on big wages over a long term. I think there will probably be movement in the market still ...for instance Briscoe has just been announced at Leeds so one of the backs at leeds will feel threatened and may want a permananent / loan move ...its a simple snowball effect

There is no doubt about it, we have our work cut out to remain in the top flight after next season but,
we have been written off more times than a Phil Mitchel motor and we are still here, still fighting and we will cause some upsets next season, like beating Catalan at their place 3 seasons back, or beating Wigan on their own turf with a patched up squad.

Don't think there's any chance of rushing in signing players on big money I think that's obvious with the Tucson affair, I think victors point was players we could afford won't wait around forever .pop tart you've just shown to me you knowledge of rugby league with respect is zilts,you say we've got a team haven't we how long do you think 16 or 17 players will last .Oh do you know were gonna keep all the players we've got now because unless I've missed sum at I thought we may have to sell some of what we've got .I forgot Leeds might come to our rescue PHEW
