You are of course close to being right, trouble is he can't/won't make a promise he can't keep and without hitting that target he can't tell us.

Is there something about the present situation you haven't understood?
How can he do that when he doesn't know himself - it comes down to balancing the cash, who we have now we may not have by payday if he hasn't the money to do pay for it.
OR as i prefer to put it; if enough people cough up for STs etc we will be able to keep who we have and perhaps buy somebody else who we can afford.

Do you have enough volunteers

Do you need volunteers for the shops

What else do you need volunteers for that will keep costs down

Let everyone know via the forum then I am sure more people will volunteer

He's already said they're all staying - provided we sell enough season tickets! If we don't then players will have to be sold. It's really not difficult to understand!

At the minute I am sure he does but if somebody comes in with a massive offer for a player they may well be sold so he cannot say or definate who is staying at risk of braking promises.

I think he is right not to sa at the moment.
