I'm sure it's possible, but unlikely.
I think the club are capable of negotiating terms with a pie supplier without our input being required!

| From what I have read about last night it might sound bleak but is it any bleaker than the situation at other clubs? Of is the new chairman bang on with his figures?
Many clubs end up unable to pay the bill at the end of the season with chairman having to pump in large sums of money, London, Cas HKR, Hudd, Widnes, Hull the list goes on. If he has projected the figures to avoid another mess, fine with me. I have bought my season ticket, I bought it after my favourite player and key play maker went. If they club asks for £200 to avoid admin due to bad management complain at you will. They are asking for the fans to invest but for season tickets.
Ted Richardson slowly got us into trouble, Adam Glover under estimated the complexities of running a club and it's associated costs. Hopefull AG passing over to MC will give him a true picture with no hidden costs.
If it is proven that not enough people want to support and watch the club now the season tickets are more realistically priced we pretty much know a 1.1m budget doesn't keep us in SL. If that mean lower league rugby if what the city deservers so be it. I support WTW and have done for 49 years and went to my first game 42 years ago. I do not support WTW Super league club. If we played in Wakefield park on a cold sunday morning I would still be there.
Tickets £60 now and then £20 per month so are you Wakefield Till I die?

| Thought the comments by MC about Wakey express were a bit ott we have had negative press from these guys before and hurt the club badly. I think we need them on side at the moment to spread the word of our plight.

| Attended last night’s meeting , I agree most contributions were informative with no punches pulled . just three topics left me with doubts on clarity , 1st don’t understand the £20000 1873expenditure and why a member of the trust was the main speaker relating to it , I am a big fan/follower of Wakefield own but I can’t see where that amount as been invested , I know Anderson , Day and Lemming WERE on decent contracts but I wouldn’t have thought to that extent , ( it’s now in its third year) . 2nd the poll on redeveloping Belle Vue or MOVING TO Newmarket I just wonder if those investing in the project were looking to pay us to stay at Belle Vue as a cheaper option to them. 3rdThe trust representatives presentation on increasing revenue , in my opinion it was the diehards and hardcore supporters who attended and as such will contribute as much as they can ( I have upgraded to platinum). but to me the question is in which form .should it be in ? a share issue

| To all those both last night and on here that are whinging about Agar signing on, who would you rather have?
Do you really think we would have signed the likes of Smith, Poore, Collis, or Aiton without him? He didn't sign Vince Mellars, Elston did. Sure he signed Isaac John and regardless of what he says about the coach, I watched him play in the reserves and nothing he did said he warranted a place ahead of Smith or Sykes at that time. He didn't tell Frankie Mariano to leave, he was offered 20k more at Cas. If Michael Carter tells a packed room that Frankie Mariano wanted to stay, I don't have any reason to doubt him. If a dad of a current u16's player stands up and tells the room that Richard Agar is fully behind the kids, are we to doubt him?
Cast your mind back to the rugby we played under John Kear. It was like watching paint dry. One out dross. The outside backs never got a look in. Who were our top scorers over the past 2 seasons? Without looking I'd guess at Cockayne and Fox. Over his time in charge sure we've had some rough patches, but the players never gave in. I've enjoyed watching the team, we play exciting rugby and score plenty of points. Granted, this last season we might not have won as many games as we would like, but i'd put that down to the naivety of those on the field not the coaching setup.
I hold my hand up, I wasn't enamored with the appointment of Agar in the first place, mainly because of what Hull FC fans had to say about him. But during his time at the club I have come to appreciate what he brings to the table. To make the 8 last season was beyond anybodies expectations and he should have won coach of the year. The fact that even now in our current predicament, we have blokes who were playing State of Origin 3 years ago publicly stating as long as the coach stays he stays is the biggest compliment you could give the bloke.
I really do despair at times. Listening to some of the moronic comments last night coupled with the snide comments on here makes me wonder what on earth people expect from this club. Is it really any wonder why people won't renew their season tickets? It's time to get real.

No need to worry about obtaining food, it will all be sorted. Believe me.

| Attended last nights meeting, but could not get past the door, was it mentioned how many platinum season tickets we have sold?.
PS The first thing we should buy is a can of WD40 for the toilet doors, we could hear most until someone went to the loo.
Great meeting enjoyed what I heard.

With respect Victar I wasn't speaking about Club 1873 but urging fans to join and the meeting wasn't specifically about Club 1873.
I don't think the poll on redeveloping Belle Vue was anything other than Michael Carter trying to judge the feeling of fans. As much as we all love Belle Vue the old girl has seen better days and our future, certainly as a Super League Club, lies at Newmarket.
Other ways of raising capital was mentioned last night and we are working on these. The sale of shares was mentioned and that is indeed an option being considered but we are not there yet. Hopefully we will be in a better position in a couple of weeks or so and we will make all that known at the appropriate time.
