| Quote deeHell="deeHell"If the basis of this meeting is what we can do going forward then forget it. There is no going forward until we find out what has happended, why all the secrecy? Why do we have to part with our money on a basis of trust?
Why did Elstson lie to us on the radio? Why after that is he still at the club? Why has Elston and Glover gone quiet? Something just doesn't look right. As already said, we were soon to jump to sceptical conclusions when the Bulls made a similar plea, how do we know were not in the same boat. Is administration a good possability at the end of this? Seen as they won't be "looking forward" questions I don't suppose I'll be able to ask them.
Talking to everyone at the game on Sunday it quite clear that the fans in general don't have any confidence in the management. The reaction to Carter was suspicion. Everyone was just mad at the board let it get to this. This "whats happended is in the past" attichude will not win any of the larger supporter base over. Fans simply will not get behind the fund raising (at least not in the numbers needed) if they have no confidence in the board. The fans confidence has to be restored, the first part of the meeting should a truthful q&a about what has happended. A full explanation about How we got here why the fans have been lied to.'"
sorry but despite my respect for sandal cat trb and all, theres a real feeling that the trial hasnt taken place, so the reabilitation and trust cant start, feel t will be a hard meeting to control, good luck but I agree with much of what is above, and so do many others, in my opinion the recovery of this club, if it happens at all, will be a slow process, i hope it goes well in the long run, but dont see how at present a meeting not touching mainly on the subject of the truth will help.

| I think many may have a problem with the fact that the main protagonists in getting into this situation are still involved at the club. Glover has moved on to sorting the ground and college courses and Elston has been shoved sideways but still has a role with a grandiose title. Rightly or wrongly whilst they remain some will be very scepital about handing any of their hard earned over. Whether justified or not the lack of a sacrificial lamb could well be a major issue.

The new chairman has stated publicly that come what may, we'll have a team in SL next season. I guess it comes down to whether you trust him with that statement or not.
As I understand it, the meeting is aimed at looking to find ways forward. If there aren't any, then the necessary arrangements will be made. SC, TRB and others have stated that they won't advise fans to put their money into a venture that has no prospects whatsoever, and I for one trust them with that. I don't see why it should be a meeting that's hard to control if the people who are there actually want to do something to help. If they can.

A hard-nosed look at the accounts would be more productive.

I shall be attending,I hope it's not going to be a slagging match, let Mr Carter answer questions and hopefully lift our spirits regarding the future.I understand there are many who are angry and bitter towards certain people,I too would like many questions answered, but we all as supporters have one thing in common,Trinity. There will no doubt be people attending looking for the least bit of in house fighting to report back to the gutter press, take it from my own experience, it dos'nt take much.Hopefully we all come away with hope for the future.

Disagree. It'll provide a basis for asking sensible questions and showing you where your bottom line really is.
Anyway, it's not my intention to distract from what I'm sure will be a very interesting and hopefully productive event. Please keep us ex-pats in the picture.

agree and wasnt trying to be negative, but was trying to reflect the mood of real fans, wasnt criticising anyone but to be honest asking fans for more of their hard earned without answers of whats gone on in last 2 years is close to insulting to those they need to keep, ?

=#FF0000Absolutely - and any delay / apparent secrecy is because people are working hard to get the facts right.

The meeting will feature the new BoD - Michael Carter and Chris Brereton. They will provide the background to where we are at, present information about where we are currently and lay out their plans going forward. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions - but this is no kangaroo court.
We have just spent 5 hours in a meeting with Chris Brereton - which we are doing so that we do not end up where the Bulls did. There is much still to sort before Monday, but it will be an eye-opening event.

| Is Cats bar big enough to hold the meeting? Have you any ideas of numbers attending? I wasn't around for the Cedar Court event and wasn't that rammed? I would think that this is a more important event with our future on the line. I'm hoping for a full house to show Mick and Chris that they have the support of the fans.
