More annoyed with this than Amor's departure. Amor had outgrown Trinity, Cowling was a starting centre for me next year.

There is a £400k hole. You have to factor in saved wages which in Amor's case could total £100k including tranfer fee.

They haven't actually made it clear what the £400k applies to.

Was Smith part of the £400k or did his fee bring us to that figure?
If we we plug £400k they say we can opporate as we are but if we only get £300k does that mean admin or just a lesser quality squad?
Does the squad that they are aiming to end up with, when £400k found include Tuson's wage?

I understand why it isn't possible to make these things clear. It just means we are all guessing when we talk about who is going and staying and what the effect is

I'd imagine the wage bill for Smith, Amor, Wilkes, Mariano would be over £300k. Add the fee on top and we are there.......

but of course that might not be what he meant.

He's dropped into the Championship for next season, as IIRC, he's going to Uni.

I am sure I read in the League papers over the course of two weeks that Liam Kay had signed for a Championship side (can't remember which) and that Wildie had also signed elsewhere.

MC said in his press conference that the Smiths transfer fee wasn't part of the 400K.

Going by what he said in that press conference we need the money by mid-late october so its its a cash shortfall and getting the wages off the bill isn't part of the immediate issue. It is though part of cutting the budget for next year so we don't end up here again this time next year.

Amor 50K. Cockayne 30K if it goes through. Smiths doesn't count against the 400K. Nothing for the others.

Kay was linked to Donny. Wildie is a new rumour though, anybody shed any light on that one?
