i know it's probably legal for the doctor to announce his new signings on Thursday - but why do it before clubs have played their last super league game of the season? maybe to cause conflict at other clubs - just saying

Oh and I'm also Ok with Trinity selling off some assets to boost the bank balance somewhat. I'd rather they didn't have to, but no player is biggar than the club.
The reality for Salford is that with the return of promotion and relegation, no side will be willing to sell what are considered to be key players unless the transfer fee is one which is far above the players value to the team.
Smith, Collis, Aiton, Kirmond will not be allowed to leave. It's more likely, Mellors, Washbrook, Wilkes and Lee Smith will be ones of interest to them. They'll pay over the odds for average to poor players because there is so little for clubs to battle over.
Wilkes would be a good solid interchange prop option for Salford tbh. I'd be happy to see him for another year.
Washbrook - any way we can offload him (in the correct manner) would be great. His defence is good but that's it. The ball nearly always stops with him running it in when it just needs a pass. Tautai and Annakin are more than capable at 13 between them and better options I think.
Could do with shedding a few more fringe players and signing 1/2 good quality players preferably a 6 been one of them.
