Steps down from what? Owner, chairman? If it paves the way for new investment then fair enough but I hope he is still involved in some way.

I think its the wrong person stepping down, but that may happen as a consequence regardless.

Michael Carter is an accountant by trade and recently came into a significant amount of money; not enough to bankroll a SL club in a Ken Davey-esque way, but he's certainly not short of a bob or two.
