The sky commentary team is Eddie Waring esque boring predictable and unbearable to listen to. Please Sky get rid of these clowns. For people who think it cannot be done better take a listen to Ray Warren and the Aussie commentators. My interest in rugby league has waned as I cannot abide to hear the same drivel week in and week out.

I like Jon Wells SHOUTY BIT - his enthusiasm is enjoyable.

Carney should replace Eddie asap for me - he's credible, articulate and talks a lot of common sense, based on his understanding of the modern game.

They should also clear out the usual suspects - McRae, Kear & Millward et al, and replace them with a rotation of new faces, including current players.

Hemmings and Stephenson make Eddie Waring sound like Brian Cox. I can't believe we used to criticise Uncle Eddie when I listen to old recordings of him vs the drivel and corny cliched crap that those 2 idiots spout. And all of the team are afflicted by the sky eye of not being able to see a forward pass or judge the grounding of the ball if it doesn't fit the script. They are aggravating beyond belief. I watch a lot of sport but mainly cricket and football after RL and I cannot think of any commentatos in any sport as inept as these 2. They must go!!!!

And yet when we get someone else we say they are boring.

Stevo is retiring soon.
I'd keep Eddie and have a new buddy.
British ex player. Possibly McDermott, not O'Connor.
Carney can do all studio stuff for me.
Clarke and Wells are fine for me.

Ah now - things are looking good. Opinion is suggesting that these two should be dealt with forthwith !
I too have tried the mute button but that just creates an eery silence, and besides the wife thinks that she can then talk to me - therefore not an option.
To be fair to the pair they do sometimes have useful things to say - hmm maybe not - but they really do serve up a constant drivel of nonsense. What is particularly annoying is that when the referee speaks to the naughty ones they both immediately speak over thus drowning out the telling off that they may be receiving - and to be fair we do all like those bits. Whats the bloody point of the ref having a mic if we cannot listen to them. I could go on but I am going to google their home addresses and post them a short note explaining how well this particular post is going and how much we would all like to see the back of them.

I'd like to see them get rid of Stevo & Eddie and get some new faces in to add to what they've got in Carney & Wells etc. Do the thing properly, advertise it, interview people and get the best men for the job. Maybe a few of the good radio RL commentators could do a good job of it. It definitely doesn't have to be a former RL player that does the play-by-play announcing, just use them to do the colour commentating side of things. I just think Stevo & Eddie have become stale over the last few years and have almost become caricatures of themselves. I can't deny their passion and enthusiasm for the game though and on the whole they've done a good job over the years.
