| I looked at the fixtures three weeks ago and thought potentially 4 points out of next 6, if we want top eight it needed to be at least 2
result zero, second half at hull kr was awful, castleford merely was more of same, hull was like watching men playing boys.
No doubt we will be gallant losers against wigan papering over the cracks
We have just been slaughtered by two teams around us in league -

Until we get a new ground and the weird folk of wakefield come on mass to support the team we are never going to be better than alan average.

I agree with most of what you say here but please don't knock the support. The support over the last 18 months has been very good to say how the team have performed (last season's late surge excepted!)
The people of Wakefield are not weird (apart from those who hang about in Kirkgate!)they are realists who are sick to death of false dawns. The support Wakefield get is, frankly what they deserve. Diehard supporters plus perhaps 15-20% extra.
When/If Wakefield rise from mediocrity and show some consistency, the real support will show itself - until then make the best of what you have because it won't get any better in the short term.="SBK

you are misunderstanding me Sandal boy, the support is quality I agree I am talking about when we get our new ground the rest of the city who don't currently attend games or support wigan, saints, and every other superleague team bar their own , see sense get a job and come and support their own team ALA Wire when they moved from Whirlpool to the HJ

| I didn't see the players giving up against Hulll KR or Cas.
A blow out score doesn't mean they gave up.
The biggest problem we have at the moment is ball control. When we give it up easily or drop the pass when we are attacking we are not only killing our attack, we are doubling our defensive effort which means we run out of steam, no matter what effort we are putting in.
Our game is built on quick play the balls and good go forward from the pack. Against cas we had none of that. We didn't keep the ball for long stretches of the game which meant we were constantly trying to push the pass which made it worse.
Carney had a field day mostly because the players were just not able to slide out wide to him. When you are flapping from a distance he is going to just swat you off. We stopped him when Kirmond was over there but it was too late by that stage.
I am certain all the players gave effort, I'm also sure we played badly. The two aren't always the same thing.

| The reality is , that up to a couple of weeks ago we were a team that looked like it was making progress, a win against Hemel, Widnes and Catalan, although not perfect, it was good to get those wins. Why change a winning team to accommodate players coming back from injury. Stick with the players that are in the team, isn't that what creates competition for places and player motivation? That you have to earn your place back in the team, not be given it on a plate. Nothing better to de-motivate a player, than give him the impression that no matter how he performs while the player he is replacing is out, as soon as said player is fit, he's back in. Complacency for player coming back from injury. Thoroughly dicked off play he is displacing.

It matters not where Wakey play, new ground or belle view, if they are not playing competitivly the supporters will not come, save for the diehards who have been supporting trin from back in the day when we were a side to contend with in any competition. It is also not a case of seing sense it is a case of being entertained by a team that are performing at 100% of their capabilities and that is win or loose. I have been a supporter of trinity for more years than I care to mention and if on the day the side have given it their best shot I am not going to rip up my season ticket but it is heartbreaking when you stand on the terrace and see a team that is under peforming. I don't know what the bit about "get a job" has anything to do with supporting Wakefield.

There is no doubt we can become equal to wire support wise if we move to Newmarket. However unless we move with a decent team that is well established it will be an exercise in futility. I don't know what the timescale is but we ought to be building now and hit new market riding high. However I know we all thought we had a bright future when the club was re born but it looks like we are slowly slipping back to where we were before.
New supporters will not be attracted to a loosing side and some present supporters will soon start to loose interest.

The support they get is more than they deserve in my opinion, especially at the moment. I'm trudging on at 50 yrs old but, I tell you, you have to ask youself why sometimes. I suppose I'll always be there but the last few weeks, except fo Catalans, have been dire and below what I consider our par to be. I think a 50% win rate is reasonable of a good coach with the squad we have. Defeat is not what troubles me, it's the manner of that defeat

28 - 0 in the second half at KR is definitely giving up.
There may be other definitions but it is without doubt submission.
Yes there were lots of mistakes but, if you are not fully switched on that's what happens.
Cas wasn't just as bad, but it certainly feels it, because it's Cas.
