Quote: kinleycat "As someone has pointed out earlier it would be in the clubs interest to get supporters to sign up at BV supervised (so to speak).
They could then encourage additional "supporters" (friends and family members etc) to also sign up, and keep track of numbers.
Done well this could generate a lot of money for the club, and all those signed up can (once they have banged theyre £10) is cancel.
The club could even give those signing up a £10 voucher for the club shop, thus encouraging greater sales at the shops, reducing the actual £10 cost and encouraging more supporter involvement and therefore more money from said bingo company.
Maybe a huge participation could go some way then to back up AGs tweet??'"
I'd have to agree - very simple to organise a sign-up event; open the bar, get some laptops out and get Jimmy Elston, a few players and some 'Foxy' cheerleaders to put the hard sell on people; make a night of it!
I'd also have the shop staff handing out a simple leaflet and get a banner on the website and an e-shot to everyone on the database containing a link to the sign-up page and simple instructions on how and why; if it's going to be big, they'll have to push it.
