| Isnt Alis contract ending this year? And hes not been as effective this year, looks abit off the pace and carrying a few extra pounds. This could be his last year with us and Ben could be a good replacement to keep the experience and teach the younger second rows?

| I think this is all about timing:
Timing as to when we sign him and timing as to the length of contract.
I'd be delighted with Ben in 2014, unsure about 2015 and scared to death about 2016. The reality of any deal would be that Ben would want 2016 if possible and 2015 for sure - that may be where the bones of the deal lie.
Annakin I would be happy with up to around 2023!!!
I am really, really nervous about the Annakin situation - especially given that some of us have been championing his abbilities for a long time. He is now a marketable product and there appears to be a lack of joined up thinking when you take the position as a whole!

| We know we dont spend up to the full salary cap but he would want a nice slice of that.Other clubs would also want him and some of them would be in front of us thats for sure.

Quote: Miro "Last week on Super league supermen he said he was called into the office and told he'd been sold to Warrington, came out of the blue and no, he didn't want to leave. having said that he also said he followed Cas as a boy, not us...gggrrrrr
correct it can also be found in print on his testimonial website. www.benniewestwood.co.uk
"In 2002, Bennie turned up at training to be told he'd been sold along with Nathan Wood to Warrington. Which was a slight problem, given the 21 year old Bennie had no car, or drivers licence for that matter. "
He has settled here since moving in 2004. He appears to enjoy living in one of the nicer parts of Town....(there are some!!)
And I would think it a kick in the nuts to the fans that have supported and are still supporting his various testimonial events for him to pocket the money and then waltz back to Wakey....
and doesnt that mean he also qualifies to have some of his salary 'not' count on the Salary cap due to his length of service?
I think Parker decided it was too boring to state a pretty obvious move like the Morley to Salford one on its own so just chucked some Random names in to spice it up.

Why? if he has given ten years fantastic service to Warrington why would they begrudge him going back 'home'?

Why would you feel that way when you're contributing for his 10 years at the club, not what he will do in the future. Fair play to Westwood as well, at least he's stayed 10 years, I hate these testimonials for having a 10 year career, complete nonsense.
