I think you'll find that as one of the more persistent protagonists on the segregation thread I have pointed out that the club's relentless desire to flog as much booze at the ground is key catalyst for the reasons cited by the club for the segregation. Others have made the same point too, and there are a number of well structured posts detailing concerns about the link between alcohol and idiocy.
Rest assured you won't be smoking at Newmarket. It's a shame you can't be more considerate to others around you at Belle Vue, although you could sneak on to the west terrace as it'll be virtually deserted for the most part like it was on Monday and then your filthy smoke won't impact anyone.
