I'm sure if there's a good reason for it then most fans would accept it, but to go from "home fans can stand wherever they want" to this with no communication is very annoying for lots of people.'"
I entered this forum late last night after reading the above post. I explained the reasons and categorically mentioned the severity of our problems on the Western Terrace. Wakefield Trinity Wildcats are striving towards an improved match day experience and aim to eliminate these fans that are spoiling it for the rest. We will isolate the fans who are responsible and subsequently ban the culprits.
Can I remind one person on here, I am happy to take the flack and will hold my hand up if the club isn't as efficient as we strive to be, but I do not appreciate personal remarks made against my position at the club or character. We will do what's best for all our fans, home and away that attend fixtures in our stadium, as safety is the paramount concern. Essentially the club employ a Ground Safety Officer who is directly responsible for all these issues, and he his the person who makes all the safety decisions, alongside Key Security, West Yorkshire Police and Wakefield Council. I am only the spokes person for the club and responding to the post above as a matter of courtesy.
Could I now ask the moderators to close this thread as I have enough information to arrange a meeting with the said organisations.
