Really, for expressing an opinion about the weather in a free country - heaven forbid he ever says anything controversial.

There are plenty on here who have questioned the wisdom of calling the game off - and by 3.30 I feel sure we could have played, but who was to know how much would melt.

The match commissioner called the game off - perhaps we should stop being so sensitive and direct Sinfields comment to the MC rather than our own club who, it would seem, worked their socks off to get the game on!

Or, just accept that no-one can control the weather. The game was off, move on.

I haven't seen the article but from the direct quote above, why do assume his comments were aimed at anyone at Wakefield? Equally, why isn't Kevin Sinfield allowed an opinion on the subject?

Sounds to me like direct and public criticism of a match official (Commissioner). I hope he gets a ban.

Seriously I though Sinfield was supposed to be clever, he should know better than getting involved in daft/pointless conversations.

Match commisioners who are they ? as far as I am aware they are just retired refs, I know clive tennat from
cas is one.

If they are basically retired refs then they have very little credance in such matters and in all fairness to sinfield his judgement on this situation is just as good as theirs.
