Quote: PopTart "I think that explains everything
I watch Wakefield because they are my local team, my father and his father before him watched them too.
I have built up a loyalty from watching them in good times and bad over the years.
You imply Leeds fans watch cos they win things. Does that mean you would have supported Wigan in the 80s and Widnes in the 70s, might be tough between Bradford and Sts in the early Super League years.
Shallow at best mate.
As for Leeds as a city, I work here and like the city a lot. It is a moedrn thriving city....but Wakefield is my city and that's where my loyalty is.'"
Chapy, chapy, chapy, you just got slapped.
I would have loved to see how many Leeds fans would have turned up if they had fielded a team like we had to after our administration period. After our team got cherry picked left right and we were left with what resembled close to an academy team.
Never the less, many supporters turned up and stayed until the very end of each game to clap the young lads on the field. And believe me they were on the end of some thrashings that year, but we had a team and for them to band together a go on that pitch every week was something which deserved our support.
With the amount of glory supporters and fake fans Leeds has, those who leave way before the match just because it hasnt been their day, would have loved to see the turn out.
