Just trying to put things in to perspective that considering budgets, player abilities etc I think it's a great bit of business to get Singleton for a year, who knows it could turn out like the Amor saga

Well I personally didn't take it that way, I presumed he'd seen more of Singleton than the rest of us, so was saying it was a good bit of business when a lot of people on here were saying they can't understand why we've bothered with the loan.

It maybe a good bit of business but what if we train him up go back to Leeds a better player where as Matt James /Lillycrop could have been trained up to be better players learning off the likes of Poore and these players are under contract at Wakefield. Judging by how things are in Australia I will be suprised if Leeds won't want Singleton back this year. Unless Singleton looks just as good as Amor I think its pointless to be fair.

I thougjt he looked quite good on boxing day in fairness. Kyle Trout had an excellent game imo but is not a prop forward. He should be given game time in his natural second row position. Singleton on loan would be fairly cheap, and would provide good cover in the forwards. If we have injuries in the season then we can look at someone else when neccessary. We picked up Sykes and L. Smith mid-season so I am sure someone will pop up. I trust Agar on this one, and therefore will support Brad if he does join the club.

Trouty has played prop throughout all age group rugby. I think he has only played second row when he was in the first team last season, so about 500 games at prop and 11 at second row.

Gledhill wouldn't sign another contract and Lilycrop as good as he was in the 20s was a bowling ball with no evasion skills and would of been smashed in the super league

but then that's just a matter of opinion

I do wonder about all the wailing and gnashing of teeth that accompanies the departure of young players - the last big thing was Cain Southernwood, and I've yet to see him make any impact on SL.

Maybe, just maybe, the people who are paid to take a view on the relative merits of RL players actually know what they're on about?
