31007_1580947500.jpg EVENTUALLY, WE'LL WIN SOMETHING, ,MAYBE, IF I'M STILL ALIVE THEN:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_31007.jpg |

| Saw something on the Trinity Heritage Facebook page the other night which had a profile of Rocky, in sketch form, and it said he was 5'10 and 13 stone, and in terms that suggested that we should be in awe of it. So big, so strong. It shows how people have got bigger. He would be a hooker now.
Not decrying his toughness, please understand. It was a comment on how people have got bigger.

| Same if you look at the Clay v Cooper fight. Greats of their time but quite small now.
Turner would have still been a loose in my opinion, he would have just eaten and trained like people do today and been bigger

| I remember Turner at Wakefield, definitely the enforcer, He was THE man however his temper did cost us on occasions
We stood on the verge of making history in 1962 after winning Yorkshire Cup, Yorkshire League, and Challenge Cup, only the Championship remained to complete all four cups in one season, a feat only achieved 3 times in the history of the game.
We had beaten Huddersfield the week before and met them again at Odsal in the Championship final. Derek had been flattened at Wembley by Ramsden (from behind I might add) unfortunately Derek was more intent on retribution than the game, and spent almost the entire match seeking out Ramsden
Still a Trinity legend though, No !!! a world rugby league legend.

| Youre a lucky man Micka. To have seen the Trin involved in games like that is something anyone under the age of 40 can only dream of!

| Its one story that Brian would tell you if you asked who made him the player he became as he always said he made him a better player. He always said if he thought you were slacking in training he came down like a ton of bricks and you didnt do it again thats for sure.
