| Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see all three local lads in our starting 17
It will be tough for them but Trout is the one of the three I personally just don't quite see making it/forcing his way in long term.
I see the quality in the other two lads, just not in Trout yet - hope all three push on and do it

| Seem to remember trout making his SL debut 2 years ago vs hullkr away. May be wrong though.
If Johnson does leave then it's Walshaws opportunity to stake a claim for that bench spot. Think he has been playing SR for dons and us.

| Definitely think we should give some of the young lads a go next year, particularly Cowling and Walshaw. I'd be prepared to take a hit on performance next season if it means we can develop them into top RL players for the years to come.

| At about 20 years old and having another offseason behind them I would hope they show improvement to stake a claim. If pj is going we could do with another impact second row and Walshaw could fit that bill.
Suppose it does depend on who comes in but after a second preseason and a Gullah season I would hope they show enough to force a first team place.
Don't want to disclude trout though as he also seems to be improving his game.
I'd like wakey to sign 2/3 top quality players and rely more on these young players if needed that 5/6 average players that keep them out of the team.

| People seem to have forgotten about Wildie and Davey. Been on dual reg at Batley and Sheffield respectively, both have been used as impact subs, and both have been impressive. Hope they are both here next year, I'd have them both ahead of John.

| I like Trout to be honest. Less flass than the others, partly because of his position but I think he is most likely to stake a claim. It will be hard as he has competition in the second row but equally he is the type of player we need.
Being compared to Henderson in my opinion is not a bad thing. We need a worker to go with the runners. If Washbrook ever gets injured we would need someone like him.
