I went to see the original stage show at Birmingham rep with Bill Maynard Francis Matthews still have the programme and the autographs .We went down as guests along with David Topliss and Mick Morgan .
Just found out that you can watch 'Trinity Tales' online, if you register with British Film Institute bfi (which I believe is free). This is a legal site and there are some absolute gems on there, such as Trinity Tales
I'm also trying to get hold of a copy of the documentary Lindsay Anderson made in the 1950's about the 'Wakefield Express'. He filmed Trinity training, and there is some lovely film of kids playing around Belle Vue. The Wakey Express used to sell it for £1.50, but don't seem to do so anymore. It is now retailing for £29.
If anyone has a copy I would really appreciate it, as I would love to show it to children, who I will be working with shortly for the Artist in Residency Project. I want to use dvds and other images to show the 'historic Trinity', which will hopefully inspire them to make some great art for the mural on the East Stand.
Like I said if anyone has the dvd of the Wakefield Express doc it would be greatly appreciated if I could borrow it for the project.
