But I'm not sure about the garage wondered if anyone knew owt about them

I don't know anything about the garage but the new range of Fiat's are cracking little cars. The stigma of 'fix it again tomorrow' really does appear to be something of the past.

Punto's are now good little cars, like all cars the've improved greatly, lots of manufacturers now use geneneric parts anyway. My nephew is on his second one and he has no complaints.
As for the garage, you have more protection now than ever and can do more yourself to make sure the vehicle is ok.
Get a HPI and accident write off check done on your mobile phone. Get the vehicle checked by the AA. Take somebody with you who knows about cars and be wary of taking their finance (if you need it) check out a bank loan first! Check how many previous owners and look at the vehicle-wear on foot pedals etc can indicate if the mileage is right!
If your dubious at all I would go to a bigger garage who may find the car you want if they don't have it in!

Had a puto a few years ago, excellent car and certainly no reliability issues.

I'm ok with Fiats too. Had one for a long time. Ran forever. No problems with it.

New Punto's use pretty much the same engine that they always have, mainly because for the most part they are cheap and reliable. They are ok until they start getting on a bit when things atart to wear out like any car. As far as cheap run arounds go you can do worse.

No idea about that garage though, its been there in its latest guise for about two or three years now? I stand corrected though.

They (Fiat punto's) have a ery big problem with power stearing failing (watchdog last week), which Fiat are not accepting liability. Other than that, I've got an Alfa (same company) and its spot on!!
The old tags are long since gone!!!

Your best bet is to ask them if you can get the car checked out, Contact Ian at A + I Motors 278327 or Dave at DW Autos 260323 and ask them to check the car over prob only cost you £30 and you will have peace of mind

As for the watch dog programme I watched
It and that was the grande punto 2008 and earlier
So not a problem there might go for a test drive
This weekend and see what I think.
